We're sure glad to have Kaushal back! Kaushal a senior level weblogic developer has been with us for almost 3 years. He went to India for a few months to help support our Hyderabad office and has recently come back to the states.

Depending on project objectives, a proof-of-con cept typically involves a 3 or 5 day engagement, designed to cover.

3 DAY PROOF-OF-CONCEPT

DAY 1

  • analysis of the reporting system needs of the client
  • discussion with management - general overview, reporting needs, database structure, security, etc.
  • discusssion with DBA (database information), network person (security information) and other key personnel as necessary
  • review questionnaire received from client prior to the engagement, an enhanced version will be generated during the day with consultant comments and suggestions
  • analyze # of users/reports/servers, security, loads, etc.

DAY 2

  • install/configure BusiinessObjects XI/Crystal Enterprise on up to 2 test computers
  • minor modifications to ePortfolio (logo, colours, etc.)
  • assess integration with existing applications an systems
  • assess mdications or customoizations needed

DAY 3

  • 1/2 day review meeting with the key people met in day 1
  • 1/2 day finalizing project review documentation, to include...
  • review of the detail received from the group of key people met during the project - with feedback
  • preliminary assessent of final system hardware and installation requirements
  • prioritized suggestions for additional work by the customer before going ahead

 

5 DAY PROOF-OF-CONCEPT

DAY 1
