Responsibilities
• write well-tested, readable, reusable Ruby, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• work with QA to plan and execute testing of new features
• work with stakeholders to ensure completeness and correctness of features
• participate in task/feature estimation
• collaborate on system architecture
• provide technical feedback to aid in gathering of requirements
• participate in knowledge-sharing code reviews
• participate in the system-support backup rotation
Qualifications
• experience writing unit and functional tests
• experience building and maintaining web applications
• experience writing code with Ruby/Rails
• experience with agile development (Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.)
Bonus Points
• strong Rails performance skills (load testing, optimization, etc.)
• strong MySQL skills (scaling, tuning, sharding, etc.)
• strong front-end skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• strong deployment/build automation skills (EC2, Chef, RightScale, Integrity)
